Wiktoria Kaczmarek-Derda has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and plant protection. Wiktoria worked as a Researcher and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research, focusing on weed biology, weed management, herbicide resistance, and invasive alien plants. Wiktoria also conducted research on the biology and control of invasive alien plants at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). In addition, they gained experience in authorisation procedures for plant protection products as a Trainee at The Norwegian Food Safety Authority. Prior to their research roles, they worked as a Kindergarten Assistant at Oppegård kommune and Nøtteliten- og Hakkebakkeskogen Familiebarnehage. Wiktoria holds a PhD in Plant Protection/Plant Health and has a strong background in the field of weed biology and control.
Wiktoria Kaczmarek-Derda began their education in 2002 at the University of Agriculture in Krakow. Wiktoria pursued a Master of Science degree in Agriculture, specializing in Agrobiology and Plant Physiology, which they completed in 2007. In 2010, Wiktoria enrolled in Courses of Norwegian Language at the Adult Education Association (Folkeuniversitetet) where they studied until 2010. Continuing their education, they joined the Norwegian University of Life Sciences in 2012 as a PhD candidate. Wiktoria'sresearch focused on plant protection and plant health. Additionally, in December 2011, Wiktoria obtained the advanced level of Norwegian language certification, known as Bergenstesten, from the University of Bergen and Adult Education Association (Folkeuniversitetet).
