Kashif Ali

Primary Care Lead Diabetes MCN at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Kashif Ali has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Kashif is currently serving as a Council Member at the Royal College of General Practitioners since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Primary Care Lead Diabetes MCN at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde from November 2017. Kashif also held the role of General Practitioner at Nithsdale Road and Merryvale Surgeries from November 2017. In addition, they served as a Clinical Director at Medical Weight Loss Limited, introducing a non-invasive treatment for reducing body fat in Scotland since March 2017. Previously, they worked as a GP Medico-Legal Expert at Iman Health Clinic Limited from February 2012. Kashif Ali also held various positions at NHS Education for Scotland, including the National Training Programme Director for Occupational Medicine from May 2016 to July 2018. Kashif has experience as an Occupational Health Physician at UTC Aerospace Systems from September 2009 to July 2018. Their earlier work includes serving as a General Practitioner at Fullarton Practice from August 2007 to October 2017.

Kashif Ali has a Bachelor of Medicine (MB ChB) degree from the University of Glasgow, which they obtained from 1996 to 2001. In addition, they hold several postgraduate qualifications, including a Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed) from the Faculty of Occupational Health Physicians, a Diploma in Forensic Medical Sciences (Dip FMS) from the Society of Apothecaries and University of Glasgow, and a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG). Kashif also has an Expert Witness Certificate from the University of Aberdeen. Kashif Ali obtained a Specialist Certification of Obesity Professional Education from the World Obesity Federation in an unspecified year.
