Daniel Kaplan is an experienced biotechnology professional with a robust background in scientific leadership and research. Kaplan has served at NGM Biopharmaceuticals since November 2008 in various roles, culminating in the position of Chief Scientific Officer. Previous positions include Vice President of Immuno-Oncology, Senior Director of Translational Science, and several positions in biology. Prior to NGM Biopharmaceuticals, Kaplan completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University in the Departments of Developmental Biology and Chemical and Systems Biology. Earlier academic training includes a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Duke University and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego.
