Carlos Jerez Bernal, CFA is currently the Head of Structured Finance at Nexwell Power, a UK-based impact investment platform focused on acquiring, building, and operating solar PV plants. Prior to this role, Carlos held the position of Head of Structured Finance and M&A at Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, a leading Independent Power Producer with a significant solar PV development portfolio. With a background in project and structured finance gained during his time at the European Investment Bank and CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina-, Carlos has also worked in various economic and analytical roles at organizations such as Ashoka, the European Commission, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C., and Arcano. Carlos holds a Master's degree in International Finance from Columbia University, a Master's degree in Economics from the College of Europe, and a double degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Currently, Carlos is pursuing a Specialist Programme in Renewable Energy Law at the University of Navarra.
