Kirk Mikulen serves as the Director of Engineering at Nexus Circular since October 2022, previously holding positions as Engineering Manager and Electrical and Automation Team Lead. Before joining Nexus Circular, Kirk was employed by Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. / Mapei as a Corporate Electrical Project Engineer, where responsibilities included leading lean manufacturing projects and performing design reviews for operational efficiency. Additionally, Kirk gained extensive experience at DuraFiber Technologies as an Engineering Manager and Electrical & Controls Engineer, overseeing engineering operations and managing large-scale capital projects. Early career roles involved control engineering at companies such as Lion's Gate Technology, Barnes International, CEC Controls, General Motors, and others, with a focus on electrical systems, project management, and technical support. Kirk holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Lawrence Technological University and an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Technology from Oakland Community College.
