Kevin Himelright is an accomplished aerospace professional with extensive experience in engineering and certification, currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Certification at Nextant Aerospace since 2012. In this role, Kevin leads multiple FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) projects, managing a team of structural engineers while collaborating with electrical engineers and drafters to ensure high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include designing mechanical systems using Solidworks, preparing certification plans and compliance checklists, and interfacing with FAA Designated Engineering Representatives. Previous positions include roles as a Design Engineer at Constant Aviation and JAY-EM Aerospace, along with internships at JAY-EM Aerospace. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
