Dr. Matthias Spägele currently serves as the Abteilungsleiter for NewTec GmbH in Ulm and Friedrichshafen since October 2023. Concurrently, Dr. Spägele is a Gastdozent for "automotive communication systems" at Hochschule Esslingen - University of Applied Sciences and a Lehrbeauftragter for "Bussysteme" at Technische Hochschule Ulm. Previous roles include Director of R&D Automotive Electronics and Testing, Head of HW, Testing, EMC, and Teamlead Hardware Development at Huber Automotive AG from May 2018 to October 2023, as well as a Forschungs- und Entwicklungsexperte at Daimler AG from September 2011 to April 2018, specializing in bus systems and transmission security. Dr. Spägele's academic background includes a Dr. Ing. from Bundeswehr University Munich and degrees in Systems Engineering and Management, as well as Elektrotechnik from Technische Hochschule Ulm.
