Jacob Rodgers, P.Eng., MBA has a comprehensive work experience in the energy industry. Jacob currently serves as the Manager of Regional Engineering & Projects at Newfoundland Power since May 2023. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Area Operations from January 2022 to May 2023. Their previous roles at Newfoundland Power include Operations Engineer from January 2020 to January 2022 and Electrical Engineer from January 2017 to January 2020.

Prior to joining Newfoundland Power, Jacob worked as an Engineering Trainee at Ontario Power Generation from May 2016 to December 2016. Jacob also gained experience as a System Planning Assistant at Newfoundland Power in 2015 and as an Engineering Student in Operational Engineering Services at FortisAlberta in 2015.

Jacob started their career in the energy industry as an In-Service Failures Co-op Student at Newfoundland Power in 2014, where they were involved in preparing AutoCad drawings for substation upgrades and assisting in field commissioning. In 2013, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Co-Op, where they provided support in preparing reports, conducting studies, and gathering data for load forecasting at Newfoundland Power.

Before venturing into the energy industry, Jacob worked as an Assistant Manager at a Pretzel maker from July 2010 to October 2013 and as a Business Services Assistant at ExxonMobil from January 2013 to April 2013.

Jacob Rodgers, P.Eng., MBA has a comprehensive education history that spans from high school to postgraduate studies. Starting in 2008, they attended Bishops College Highschool (Honours) until 2011, where they completed their secondary education. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland from 2011 to 2016. Recently, beginning in 2018, Jacob embarked on furthering their education at Memorial University of Newfoundland, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
