Ian Macpherson is an experienced engineering leader with over a decade of expertise in the transit bus industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering Services at New Flyer since March 2015, Ian has previously held various engineering management roles, including Chief Engineer of Design and Systems Integration Manager at North American Bus Industries and Director of Product Engineering at DesignLine USA. Ian's leadership experience encompasses managing teams of engineers and designers to oversee the design, development, and testing of heavy-duty transit buses with conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains. Ian holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, completed in 2006.
