Jason Isaac has a diverse range of work experience in the broadcasting industry. Jason began their career as a General Manager and Jazz Music Director at WHRW, where they managed all station operations and coordinated a staff of 200 students and volunteers. Jason then worked as a News Announcer and Jazz Host at WSKG Public Media, where they anchored local newscasts and hosted jazz programming.
Following this, Jason worked as a Board Operator and Announcer at Entercom New Orleans, where they were responsible for live and recorded programming on three stations. Jason also voiced, produced, and edited copy for spots, promos, teases, and features. During their time at Entercom, they also worked as a part-time DJ.
Jason then moved on to WWOZ 90.7 FM, where they volunteered as a Show Host and Producer. Jason programmed and hosted a weekly overnight jazz show and served as the co-director of the local broadcast of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Additionally, they worked as an in-studio producer for station fund drives.
Jason later joined WNYC Radio as a Per diem Engineer and Board Operator. In this role, they operated boards for live news and talk programming and had master control responsibilities. Jason programmed automation software, monitored automatic switching of studios to air, and set up ISDN and Comrex feeds.
Jason also gained experience at Air America Media, where they served as a Studio Systems Manager and Board Operator. Jason was responsible for the wire-ready automation system and the upkeep of all studio systems and equipment. Jason also provided primary training for new board operators and engineers.
Additionally, Jason worked as a Broadcast Engineer at Greenstone Media, where they managed network automation, trained new board operators and engineers, and installed audio equipment.
Lastly, they have experience as a drummer and percussionist as a professional musician and performer and worked as a part-time Board Operator at Liberty Broadcasting.
Throughout their career, Jason has gained extensive experience in various roles within the broadcasting industry, including engineering, programming, hosting, and managing studio systems.
Jason Isaac attended Binghamton University from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English, Literature, and Rhetoric.
