Melanie Eicher is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience as a reading specialist and classroom teacher. Currently serving as a Title I Reading Specialist at New Millennium Academy since September 2017, Melanie develops and implements reading interventions for at-risk students while collaborating with classroom teachers on lesson planning. Previous roles include an elementary school teacher at Odyssey Academy, a classroom teacher at Brooklyn Center Community Schools and Spring Lake Park Schools, and a reading specialist at Prairie Seeds Academy, where Melanie led a professional learning community. Earlier career experience includes teaching at Mounds View Public Schools and working as an assistant underwriter at St. Paul Companies. Melanie holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from St. Catherine University and an Associate of Science in Child Development from North Hennepin Community College.
