Ryan is currently working as the Program Development Manager at Nevvon, where they are responsible for acquiring grant and award funding, proposal writing, and copywriting sales and marketing materials. Prior to this, Ryan worked as a Consultant and Project Director at A&A Ward Consulting and Associates, specializing in strategic advancement for private, public, and not-for-profit organizations. Ryan also has experience as a Shop Owner at RTDC | Ryan T. DeForge Consulting, focusing on program development, facilitation, and evaluation in geriatrics, community engagement, and strategic planning.

Ryan then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Gerontology at the same university from 2000 to 2002.
