Guillem Singla Buxarrais has a diverse range of work experience. In 2012, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Barcelona, where they conducted experiments and cloning for a research project on Type 2 Diabetes. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Graduate Researcher at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where they designed and conducted experiments related to cell adhesion proteins. Guillem also worked on the development of novel computational analysis methods for GC-IMS data.
In 2014, Singla Buxarrais joined Imperial College London as a Postgraduate Researcher in the Brain and Behaviour Lab. Guillem developed a computational model of the human hand and used motion tracking technology to control a virtual hand.
From 2016 to the present, Singla Buxarrais has been involved with Neurofenix, a digital health company that empowers neurological patients and their families. Guillem co-founded the company and serves as the Chief Executive Officer. Guillem is driven by personal experiences with neurological conditions, and leads an international team of professionals.
In 2016, Singla Buxarrais was also a member of the sixth cohort of Entrepreneur First, a program that supports technical individuals in building high-growth startups.
Most recently, in 2021, Singla Buxarrais and Neurofenix were selected to participate in the MedTech Innovator Accelerator Program, a prestigious program for healthcare innovation.

Guillem Singla Buxarrais completed their Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universitat de Barcelona between 2010 and 2014. In addition to their formal education, Guillem also earned additional certifications such as the Goethe Institute Level A2 and Level A1 from Goethe Institut in June 2013 and February 2013 respectively. Guillem also obtained the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in March 2010.
