Alan Stacklin

VP of Product and Technology at Network Perception

Alan Stacklin has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Alan began their career in 1991 as Manager of Software Engineering at Rochester Instrument Systems, where they led a newly hired team through the process of re-inventing DOS based legacy applications on the Windows platform, implemented the company's first structured software process, and achieved ISO 9000 certification for the process. In 1993, they became Product Manager at Logical Operations, where they conceptualized and developed a new product offering in 12 months and grew revenues to $1. Stacklin then moved to Ziff Davis in 1996, where they served as Senior Director of Information Technology, leading the information technology organization across six divisions and four locations. Alan also served as General Manager, increasing sales 30% over two years through a dedicated telemarketing sales team, and reformulating the product offerings to better meet customer needs. In 1999, Stacklin became Vice President of Technology at Element K, where they helped drive revenues from $0 to $12MM in two years by launching new, innovative end user capabilities every 12 weeks. In 2000, they became Chief Technical Officer at Praxair, Inc., developing and presenting the corporate technology vision and strategy to investors, suppliers and fabricators and securing $10MM of investment commitment for the 2001 operating plan. In 2001, Stacklin joined Information Resources Inc. as Executive Vice President of Technology Marketing, acting as General Manager for the software tools portion of a $150MM B2B application service provider product line. In 2004, they became Chief Technology Officer at Akoya Inc., serving as Board Secretary and presenting product plans to investors for raising capital. In 2014, Stacklin joined KPIT as Practice Director of Cloud & Advanced Analytics and Supply Chain, expanding the Data Engineering, Cloud and Advanced Analytics practice to $10MM in the first year and developing the Supply Chain and Enterprise Cost Management Practice to $5MM in the first year. In 2019, they joined Birlasoft as Practice Director of Digital Transformation, consulting with senior leadership and IT executives to drive digital transformation strategy for cloud products, centers of excellence and enterprise managed services. Most recently, in 2020, Stacklin joined Network Perception as Vice President of Product and Technology, leading the development and commercialization of computer network compliance and security solutions for OT industries. Alan has led the Product Management process by defining the strategy and product roadmap for the company, and built a technology team from scratch to deliver on the product roadmap.

Alan Stacklin completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985. Alan then went on to earn their Master of Science in Computer Science from Union College in 1988. In 1993, they completed their Master of Business Administration in Marketing, Operations and Strategy from the University of Rochester.
