Ryan Neal is a highly experienced software engineer and principal engineer at Netlify, where Ryan has held various leadership roles since March 2016, including Director of Infrastructure. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Software Engineer at Radius Intelligence and Senior Software Engineer at Yelp. Ryan's foundational experiences include working as a Forward Deployed Engineer at Palantir Technologies, developing products in the Middle East, and as Lead Software Architect at Raytheon, where Ryan introduced Agile practices and managed backend teams on complex web services. Ryan also has embedded software experience and technical skills in a range of programming languages and tools. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and Development Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, along with studying at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
