Tom Pruitt is a certified fire and explosion investigator with extensive experience in fire services. Currently, Tom serves as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator at NEFCO Fire Investigations since July 2020. Prior to this role, Tom worked at Pyr-Tech from April 2018 to March 2020, where Tom also focused on fire and explosion investigations. Tom's career in the fire service began with the Danville Fire Department, where Tom held various positions, including Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, and ultimately Assistant Fire Chief from 2001 to 2017. Tom has additional experience as an Evaluator at Battelle Corp and as a Paramedic at Medix Ambulance. Tom's educational background includes multiple certifications from the Illinois State Fire Marshals Office and studies in Fire Science at Parkland College.
