Mike Yao has a significant amount of experience in software development and management roles. Mike is currently working as a Software Development Manager at Navitaire, an Amadeus company, starting in May 2021. Previously, from May 2019 to May 2021, they worked as an Engineering Manager at TCF Bank.

Before that, from October 2013 to May 2019, Mike worked as an Application Development Manager at Equus Compute Solutions, where they led a ten-person team and supported various eCommerce projects for different business units. At Equus Holdings, they designed integrated solutions for front-end B2B/B2C eCommerce sites, Microsoft Dynamic CRM, and back-end ERP systems. Mike also coordinated tasks between on-site and off-shore development members.

From July 2004 to October 2013, Mike worked at C.H. Robinson as a Technical Lead. Their responsibilities included re-architecting and converting customer transportation management portal sites to service-oriented ASP.NET.

Mike also has experience as a Technical Consultant at Best Buy from September 2000 to July 2004, where they provided technical leadership across various technologies and disciplines. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Consultant at Target Corp from May 1996 to September 2000, where they designed and implemented intranet sites and implemented data collector programs.

Mike also has experience as a Contract Programmer at Hyperlynx Corp from March 1996 to May 1996, and as a Software Engineer at B-Tree Verification Systems from December 1994 to June 1995.

Mike Yao completed their Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from Minnesota State University, Mankato, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. Mike went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Software Systems from the University of St. Thomas, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001.
