Troy Hicks, PhD, is a distinguished Professor of English and Education at Central Michigan University, where significant contributions include collaboration with K–12 educators on the implementation of newer literacies and teaching advanced courses in educational technology. As Chairperson and Director of the Chippewa River Writing Project, Troy Hicks leads initiatives that support professional development for K-16 teachers through partnerships with various educational stakeholders. With extensive experience dating back to roles as a Teacher Consultant with the National Writing Project and as an Outreach Coordinator at the Red Cedar Writing Project, Troy Hicks has built a notable career focused on enhancing language arts education and literacy practices.
