Dr. Craig Jakes is currently a QC Separations professional at Bristol Myers Squibb since January 2024 and has held the position of Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) since September 2016, following a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Bioprocessing obtained from University College Dublin in June 2022. Prior to these roles, Dr. Jakes progressed from Bioprocessing Scientist to Analytical Scientist at NIBRT, focusing on collaboration projects with Thermo Fisher Scientific, and has experience as a Regulatory Affairs Scientist at Immcell Ltd. Early career experience includes research internships at the Food Safety Authority of Ireland and University College Dublin, combined with leadership roles as a Student Ambassador and Student Leader. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, both from University College Dublin.
