Nabila Chami has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Nabila started their career as an Editorial Intern for Welcome to Madrid, where they wrote feature articles and conducted interviews for a tourism magazine. Following that, they worked as a Public Affairs Intern at USDA, creating press materials and managing social media accounts. Nabila then interned at the Office of Public Affairs in the Smithsonian Institution, where they created press materials and managed media requests for events. Nabila also worked as a Digital Editor at 630 WMAL, responsible for website management, social media, and editing audio.
Their most recent positions have been at the National Aquarium, where they have held several roles. Nabila started as a Social Media Manager before becoming the Director of Content Strategy, where they led a team responsible for advancing the organization's mission through storytelling. Nabila then became the Director of Brand Strategy, where they shaped the National Aquarium's brand and secured opportunities for its reputation advancement. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Strategic Alignment, focusing on overall strategic alignment.
Nabila Chami pursued their education by enrolling at the American University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a degree in Print Journalism. Their field of study during this period revolved around Journalism, Communication, Digital, and Social Media. After a gap of four years, in 2016, they attended the Institute of Policy Studies for a certificate program, which lasted until 2017. The program focused on Spurring a New Economy in Maryland. Additionally, Nabila Chami acquired two additional certifications: a Certificate in Strategic Management from Georgetown University in November 2022 and a Section4 Certified Brand Strategist certificate from Section4 in July 2021.
