April Smith, M.Ed has a diverse work experience. April began their career in 2011 as a Claims Specialist III at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where they used their analytical skills to collect data pertaining to specific situations and provided solutions through verbal and written communication. In 2012, they became a Youth Minister at Calvary Church of Naperville, where they led and guided Junior High School students to live meaningful, fun and purpose driven lives based on biblical principles. In 2014, they took on a Graduate Admissions Intern role at DePaul University, as well as becoming a DePaul Student. In 2015, April was hired as a Sourcing Analyst at TransTech IT Staffing. Finally, in 2016, April became a Lead Product Specialist at Naehas.

April Smith, M.Ed has a comprehensive education history. April attended William A Wirt High School, followed by Indiana University Bloomington. April then earned a Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University - Alumni in 2011. April also earned a Bachelor of Science - BS in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2011. Finally, they earned a Master of Education (MEd) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from DePaul University in 2018. Additionally, April Smith, M.Ed obtained various certifications from LinkedIn in 2021, including Coaching and Developing Employees, Performance Management: Setting Goals and Managing Performance, Strategic Thinking, Make the Move from Individual Contributor to Manager, and New Manager Foundations.
