Ben Hackney-Williams has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ben is currently the Head of Content at Myzone®, a wearable fitness brand that promotes inclusivity and community building through personalized zones for each user. Prior to this, Ben worked as a freelance creative copywriter, ghostwriter, journalist, and content creator. Ben has also served as a Co-opted Governor for Brewster Avenue Infant & Nursery School, contributing to the school's success. Additionally, Ben co-founded KookyWoof, a platform focusing on dog-related content and supporting charitable causes. Ben has contributed articles to Gym Owner Monthly Magazine, exploring issues in the fitness industry. Ben has held multiple roles at Escape Fitness, including Head of Content, Digital Marketing Manager, and Head of Communications, where they implemented content strategies and engaged with international audiences. Earlier in their career, they worked at i2media group as an Editorial Director and Chief Sub Editor, overseeing fitness and MMA publications. Ben also gained experience at Warners Group Publications as a Digital Editor and Editor for various magazines, and at Bauer Media as a Production Editor for Car Mechanics and Max Power. Ben started their career as a Sub Editor for the Peterborough Herald and Post newspaper at Trinity Mirror Group PLC. With their diverse skill set in content creation, copywriting, journalism, and marketing, Ben has contributed to various publications and organizations throughout their career.
Ben Hackney-Williams completed their BA (Hons) degree in Journalism from the University of Northampton in 2004 and 2005. Ben has additional certifications including a Prevent awareness course from the UK Civil Service, obtained in January 2023, and an Inbound Certification from HubSpot Academy, obtained in August 2020.
