Maria Alfaro is a seasoned professional in the field of genetics, currently serving as the Laboratory Director at Myriad Genetics since January 2020. Prior to this role, Maria held the position of Director at the Institute for Genomic Medicine Clinical Laboratory at Nationwide Children's Hospital from July 2017 to January 2020, and served as the Scientific Director of the Clinical Laboratory at Arkansas Children's from July 2014 to June 2017. Maria's academic qualifications include a Fellowship in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Vanderbilt University (2011-2013), a PhD from Vanderbilt University (2005-2011), and a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Tulane University (2000-2003).
