Maarten Rosema has extensive experience in GIS and data management, currently serving as an Employee in Data Management and Information Services at the Municipality of Noordwijk since June 2018. Previous roles include GIS Specialist for Leemans speciaalwerken, focused on identifying risk areas for WWII explosives, and Project Employee at the Netherlands Centre for Biodiversity Naturalis, where significant efforts were made to digitize museum collections. Maarten also held positions at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, primarily working with geodata and agriculture-related appeals. Early career experiences include GIS data entry for the City Hall of Rhenen and a guest student role at the Asian Institute of Technology, contributing to research on organic farming. Maarten holds an MSc in Management of Agro-ecological Knowledge and Social Change and a degree in Biology from Wageningen University & Research.
