Michelle Woods is an experienced human resources professional with a diverse background in HR management and communications. Currently serving as the Human Resources Manager at the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board since March 2016, Michelle previously held the position of Senior Human Resources Generalist, where contributions included addressing employee engagement, performance, and staffing issues. In addition to current responsibilities, Michelle was the Vice President of Communications for the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources - D.C. Chapter from March 2018 to May 2019, focusing on professional development and networking for African-American HR professionals. Additional experience includes roles at Thales USA, Inc., Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network, Georgetown University Law Center, and Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Michelle holds a Master of Human Resources in Strategic Human Capital Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
