Nick Sohyda serves as the Fire Chief of the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department in Southwestern Pennsylvania since August 1999. Additionally, Nick is a Peer Consultant for the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development's Governors Center for Local Government Excellence, providing expert consulting services on fire service agency management. Nick also contributes as an Adjunct Instructor at the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, co-leading programs for Fire Officers and Tactical Fire Ground Officers. Previous experience includes roles as a Suppression Instructor and Hazardous Materials Technician. Nick holds an Executive Fire Officer designation from the National Fire Academy and a B.S. in Fire Administration from SUNY Empire State College, along with an A.S. in Fire Science from the University of Cincinnati.
