Valérie Van Haver has been in the scientific field since 2013. Valérie began their career at Ghent University as an Assisting Academic Staff in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, Dept. Basic and Applied Medical Sciences - Physiology group. In this role, they were deeply involved in ongoing research with a focus on the blood-brain barrier and calcium/connexin signaling under inflammatory conditions. Valérie also developed various laboratory skills. In 2019, they began working at ProDigest as a Senior Associate Scientist. In 2020, they moved to MRM Health, where they currently hold the role of Scientist and Senior Associate Scientist.

Valérie Van Haver received their Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical Sciences from Ghent University in 2013, after having obtained their Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the same university in 2011. Prior to this, they attended Sint-Pietersinstituut Gent from 2001 to 2007, studying Latijn-Wiskunde (8 uur). In 2012, Valérie obtained their Felasa C certificate from Ghent University.
