Andrea is a laboratory technician on the Food R&D team at Mori. While pursuing a degree at Syracuse University, Andrea gained research experience in plant biology by studying plant defense genes, biological defense pathways, and defense-related transcription factors in Arabidopsis thaliana. After graduating from Syracuse University in 2020 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology, Andrea decided to pursue her interest in plants and agriculture by working on a Massachusetts organic produce farm. Her passion for tackling the issues of food waste, food access, and climate change led her to join the community at Mori.
