Julien Schuermans is an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer at ML6 since September 2019, where Julien also held the position of Machine Learning Engineer. Prior to this, Julien completed a Deep Learning Internship at Nerf - empowered by imec, KU Leuven, and VIB, focusing on training Flood-Filling Networks for retinal neuron extraction. Julien's earlier experience includes an Engineering Internship at Nokia, during which Julien developed a tool for System on Chip interconnect code generation, and an Engineering Internship at Schleifenbauer Products, where Julien created a harmonic assessment tool for power distribution units. Julien holds an Advanced Master in Artificial Intelligence and a Master of Science in Engineering from KU Leuven, complemented by a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from the same institution, along with an European Baccalaureate from European School Mol.
