Emily Krusack is a seasoned creative writer, radio producer, and educator based in the Twin Cities. Currently serving as a Weekend Host at MPR News since May 2019, Emily also produces arts and book-themed segments. Additionally, Emily has experience as a part-time newscaster for Minnesota Public Radio and works as an independent radio producer focusing on arts, culture, and immigration. As a freelance writer since September 2011, Emily crafts compelling narratives across various formats, including radio features and poetry instruction. Previous roles include Interim Community Features Editor at WXPR Public Radio and Academic Instructional Staff at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, alongside teaching refugees through cultural orientation classes with the Minnesota Council of Churches. Emily holds a BA in English from Williams College and an MFA in poetry from the University of Minnesota.
