Carmen Martin

Carmen Martin has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Carmen started working at Mile High United Way in 2022 as the Director of Program Strategy & Community Partnerships. Prior to that, they served as the Chairperson of the Board and Board Member at Hunger Free Colorado from 2020 onwards. From 2019, Carmen worked as a Public Health Instructor at the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center, specializing in health equity, structural inequality, and equitable program evaluation in public health.

Carmen also has extensive experience at Kaiser Permanente, where they held multiple roles. Carmen served as the Food Security Lead from 2020 to 2022, Senior Community Health Specialist from 2013 to 2019, Senior Research Specialist from 2007 to 2013, and Prevention Specialist from 2004 to 2007.

Additionally, Carmen served as a Board Member at the Regional Institute for Health and Environmental Leadership (RIHEL) from 2016 to 2018. RIHEL is a training institute dedicated to improving public health and the environment in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.

Carmen Martin holds a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Denver, which was completed in 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University, finishing in 1995.
