Leonardo Alvarez

Leonardo Alvarez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Leonardo started their career in the UNITED STATES ARMY as a Medical Operations Officer, where they managed a team of 41 Medical Soldiers and led healthcare management and trauma response programs. After their military service, Leonardo worked as a Ward Clerk at the Veterans Health Administration, where they performed various administrative tasks for different hospital units. Leonardo then transitioned to the role of Supply System Analyst at Saint Thomas Health Services, where they maintained and supported materials management systems.

Leonardo then moved on to Nyrstar, where they served as a Buyer for a mining organization, responsible for purchasing complex goods and services. Leonardo then joined Emerson Process Management as a Commodity Manager, managing various commodities for an international industrial valve manufacturer.

In their most recent role at MidAmerican Energy Company, Leonardo served as a Senior Buyer, Senior Supply Chain Analyst, and Director of Supply Chain. In these roles, they developed and implemented initiatives to enhance inventory controls, logistics optimization, and system and data integrity. Leonardo also analyzed data to improve supply chain structure and worked on improving material flow operations and data management to increase overall efficiencies.

Throughout their career, Leonardo has consistently demonstrated their ability to analyze data, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain and materials management.

Leonardo Alvarez received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a double major in Marketing and Management from the University of Michigan in 2005. Leonardo then pursued further education and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Business from Belmont University - Jack C. Massey College of Business in 2011.
