Ian Calvert serves as Chief Operating Officer at MGT Teesside since January 2022. Prior to this role, Ian was the Chief Executive Officer at The Association for Decentralised Energy from January 2020 to December 2021. Ian’s extensive experience includes positions such as Head of Biomass UK at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH and RWE Innogy UK Ltd, as well as Director at RWE Innogy UK Ltd. Ian also led cogen strategy at RWE npower and held the role of Development Manager at British Sugar. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Squadron Commander with the British Army. Ian Calvert holds a Master of Arts degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, obtained in 1987.
