Douglas Abrams has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Douglas is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Meticuly Co., Ltd since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Managing Director at Expara Ventures from 2015 onwards. Douglas also served as the Visiting Professor at the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University starting from 2007. From 2007, they were the CEO of Expara IDM Ventures. Douglas held the position of CEO at Expara from 2003. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Associate Professor at both the National University of Singapore and NUS Business School starting from 2001. In 2008, they became a Partner at Extream Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on technologically driven companies in Asia. Douglas served as the Chairman of First Meta from 2007 to 2018. Lastly, they were the Chairman of the Business Angel Network South East Asia (BANSEA) from 2013 to 2015.

Douglas Abrams completed their MBA degree at The Wharton School from 1991 to 1993. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania, which they attended from 1976 to 1980. In addition to these formal qualifications, Douglas also has experience as faculty at the National University of Singapore and Sasin School of Management, although the specific duration of their time there is not provided.
