Cara Ely is a seasoned creative leader in the gaming industry, currently serving as the Director of Creative for Lifestyle & Entertainment at Meta since November 2024. Previously, Cara held the role of VP, Head of Studio at Akili, and from 2017 to 2022, served as VP of New Games at King, contributing to audience engagement and new game development. Prior experience includes creative leadership positions at PopCap Games, Zynga, I-play Games, and Sierra Online, where Cara drove the success of several popular game franchises. Cara holds a Bachelor of Arts from Whitman College and completed a certificate program in Popular Fiction Writing at the University of Washington, alongside an executive education program at INSEAD.
