Jay Alappat is an experienced professional in the field of analytical chemistry and research, currently serving as the Regional Technical Director for Chemistry at Mérieux NutriSciences since November 2021. Previous roles include Senior Analytical Scientist at Nature's Fynd and Senior Analytical Chemist at Ball Horticultural Company, where significant contributions were made to breeding research and product distribution in the horticultural industry. Jay also served as Manager of Research and Development and Quality Control at Chrysantis, Inc., focusing on natural food products, and held research associate positions at the University of Maryland and Michigan State University, emphasizing phytochemical research with potential health applications. Earlier experience includes managing the NMR facility at the Herbal Medicine Center in Abu Dhabi, fostering collaboration in traditional medicine. Jay earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
