Marina Bukhtiyarova

Principal Scientist at Merck

Marina Bukhtiyarova is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Principal Scientist at Merck since August 2012, Marina has previously held the position of Biology Leader at Novira Therapeutics from August 2011 to August 2012 and Director of the Biology Department at Ansaris (formerly Locus Pharmaceuticals) from April 2002 to May 2011. Earlier in the career, Marina was a Senior Scientist at BMS/DuPont Pharmaceuticals from July 1997 to February 2002. Academically, Marina completed postdoctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Florida between 1994 and 1997, following a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
