As Medic’s Chief Development Officer, Emily oversees global philanthropic relationships and external communications initiatives. She is passionate around the role of philanthropy in achieving progressive systems change and pursues shared-value relationships to advance Medic’s mission. Emily most recently served on the leadership team of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a US-based youth development organization. There she established large-scale funding partnerships focused on opportunity and equity for underserved kids and teens.
Emily previously worked with the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health building public-private partnerships for biomedical research, funding global projects in population-level behavior change, and close collaboration with USAID. She has also held professional and volunteer leadership roles with a number of patient advocacy organizations facilitating and advocating for increased access to life-saving medical interventions. Emily holds a certification in Leadership in Philanthropy from Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy and studied marketing at the University of Kentucky.
