Erica Plybeah has a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry. Erica began their career in 2011 as a Health Educator III/IV (Per Diem) at Inova Health System. Erica then worked as an Epic EMR Implementation & Training - Clinical Informatics (Willow Pharmacy and Beacon Oncology) and an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II at the same company. In 2013, they moved to Memorial Healthcare System as an Epic EMR - Informatics Implementation Consultant (Willow Inpatient Pharmacy, Beacon Oncology). Erica then joined The University of Arizona Health Network as a Clinical Informatics Implementation and Training - (Epic EMR Beacon Oncology & Willow Pharmacy). After that, they worked at Flatiron Health as an EMR Implementation Specialist (OncoEMR). Erica then moved to MidSouth eHealth Alliance as a Clinical Informatics Specialist, Health Information Exchange. In 2015, they worked at Memphis Bioworks Foundation as a Clinical Systems Project Manager. Erica then joined St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a Clinical Research Informatics Project Manager. In 2020, they joined Lightspeed Venture Partners as a Scout Investor. Currently, they are the Founder & CEO of MedHaul, a company that provides transportation to care for those with special needs.
Erica Plybeah graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology (Pre-Pharmacy). In 2011, they obtained a National Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. In 2012, they became a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. In 2014, they became a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy. In 2016, they obtained a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. In 2021, they obtained a certification from the UC Berkeley Executive Education Black Venture Institute.
