Doug Caddell has over 40 years of experience in various roles in the legal and technology industries. Doug is currently the Global CIO for Mayer Brown, a global law firm. Before joining Mayer Brown in 2016, Doug worked as a legal CIO and consultant for Legal CIO Consulting LLC from 2012 to 2016, providing technology and business process strategy to law firms and corporate law departments. Additionally, they served as the interim CIO for kCura from 2013 to 2014, where they led organizational change and revitalized the internal IT functions. Prior to that, Doug was the Chief Information Services Officer & CIO of Foley & Lardner LLP from 1999 to 2012, where they oversaw the firm's technology, knowledge management, and library services functions. Doug also held various technology leadership positions in other organizations such as Legal CTO LLC, O'Connor Cavanaugh Attorneys, and the Arizona Attorney General's Office. Doug started their career at Ernst & Whinney and served in the US Navy as a Cloud Specialist and Aircrew from 1971 to 1977.
Doug Caddell holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Management Information Systems and Accounting from the University of Arizona. Doug has obtained several certifications including Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in 2019, CISSP from (ISC)² in 2015, and Information Governance Professional (IGP) from ARMA International in 2014. Additionally, they have certifications in Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, and Six Sigma/LEAN, although their current status is not specified.
