Steven Harley has worked in the design and development industry since 2008. Steven'sfirst role was a Web Developer and Graphic Design Intern at Michigan State University in 2008. In 2010, they became a Designer/Developer at Arena Solutions. Steven then worked as a UX/UI Designer at OkCupid Labs in 2012, and a UX/UI Designer and UX/UI Engineer at General Things Inc and GoPro respectively in 2013. In 2013, they also worked as a Designer/Developer at SupplyBetter. From 2014 to 2022, they were a Designer at thoughtbot, where their primary role was to fit into existing product teams, execute the full spectrum of product design skills, and level up their client's internal design process. Currently, they are a Senior Designer at Material Security.

Steven Harley attended Michigan State University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
