Aislinn Cooper is a Senior Clinical Scientist at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital since October 2021, specializing in genomics within the NGS laboratory. Previously, Aislinn held the position of Acting Chief Clinical Scientist at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board from April 2015 to August 2021, focusing on the Specialist Rare Disease Section of the All Wales Medical Genomics Service. Aislinn's early career included roles as a Trainee Clinical Scientist and Genetic Technologist within the same service, as well as a Cytogenetic intern at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and a Research Assistant at Beaumont Hospital. Aislinn began professional training as an HR Administrative Assistant at UPMC Beacon Hospital. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Medical Genetics from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from University College Dublin.
