Matthew Misener is an accomplished trumpet player with extensive experience in both orchestral and chamber music, currently performing with The Maryland Symphony Orchestra and the United States Air Force Band. Misener has substituted with several prestigious orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra, and holds a long-standing role as a trumpet teacher at the Columbia Institute of Fine Arts. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Music with Distinction in Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. Additionally, Misener has participated in notable music festivals and has been recognized as a runner-up for the Principal Trumpet position with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra.
