Abhijit Athavale is the current Founder & President at Markonix. Prior to this, they worked as Sr. Marketing Manager at Xilinx from January 1995 to June 2006. There, they were responsible for marketing strategy development for the Xilinx Connectivity solution, worth over $150 million. This included messaging, value proposition development, and product positioning. In addition, they also oversaw campaign planning, execution, and measurement; sales training and channel marketing program development; market research; solution evangelization; and partnership development. Abhijit also held various roles in software engineering and applications groups for the Xilinx CPLD and IP divisions during their 11+ years there. From July 2006 to October 2008, they worked as VP/Marketing at Taray, Inc. And finally, prior to their work at Meltron from August 1990 to July 1991, they worked as an R&D Engineer.

Abhijit Athavale completed their undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering Pune. Abhijit then pursued a Master of Engineering in electrical and electronics engineering from Texas A&M University. Currently, they are completing coursework in digital design and project management at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
