Darren Swarbrick has a diverse range of work experience in the football industry. Darren began their career in 2017 as a Talent Identification Scout for Blackpool FC and later moved to Blackburn Rovers Football Club in 2017 to continue their work in talent identification. From 2013 to present, they worked at The Lancashire Football Association as a Football Services & Competitions Manager, where they were responsible for coordinating and administering county cup competitions, overseeing the affiliation process for football clubs, acting as a match day coordinator for home fixtures of U23 teams of Blackburn Rovers FC and Bolton Wanderers FC, and serving as the secretary for Lancashire FA Women's County League. In 2018, they worked as an Assistant Football Coach at Little Lions Coaching Clinic. Darren also joined Manchester United in 2019 as part of the Foundation Phase Talent Identification team. Currently, Darren serves as the Club Chairman at South Ribble Development Centre, a position they have held since April 2019.
Darren Swarbrick attended Wellfield High School from 1997 to 2002. Darren did not obtain a degree or specialize in any particular field of study during this time. In terms of additional certifications, Darren obtained various qualifications from The Football Association. These include The FA Level 2 In Talent Identification in April 2018, FA Level 1 Psychology in Football in December 2017, The FA Level 1 in Talent Identification in April 2017, Level 1 Award in Coaching Football in October 2015, and FA Coaching Disabled Footballers in January 2014.
