Melanie Moran is an accomplished communications strategist with 25 years of experience in higher education and the public sector. Currently serving as Vice President & Senior Strategist at Mackey Strategies since May 2022, Melanie specializes in developing effective organizational practices and comprehensive communications strategies for clients. Prior experience includes roles at Vanderbilt University, where Melanie held several leadership positions, including Associate Vice Chancellor for University Relations, and was instrumental in shaping communications for various university stakeholders. Melanie's background also encompasses significant contributions to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and the Office of the Governor, where responsibilities included media relations and crisis communication. Melanie holds a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Policy from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Penn State University.
