Maria Nunkester has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the Mathematics Department Head at Southern Columbia School District since July 1997, where responsibilities include teaching Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus across various grade levels. In addition, Maria has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Luzerne County Community College since August 2016, teaching multiple mathematics courses. Since February 2016, Maria has also worked as an online rater for the Educational Testing Service, focusing on various assessments. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Master's of Education in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University.
