Nicolas Rabault

Nicolas Rabault has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Nicolas started their career at Aldebaran Robotics as a Validation System Engineer from September 2009 to August 2010. Nicolas then worked at Itron as a Digital Signal Processing Engineer from October 2010 to July 2012. From September 2012 to October 2014, they were an Embedded System Software Engineer at Elsys Design. In November 2014, they joined Inria as a Research Engineer on the Flowers team, where they led electronics and low-level software development for the Open-source Poppy Robots platform until November 2016.

After their tenure at Inria, Rabault co-founded Makingbot and served as the Makingbot Leader and Co-founder of modular robotics systems from September 2009 to November 2014. Nicolas then moved on to become the CTO & Co-founder of Pollen Robotics in July 2016. At Pollen Robotics, their role focused on building an open ecosystem for creating robotics creatures of the future and developing the market. Nicolas served in this role until January 2020.

Most recently, Rabault has been involved with several companies. Since July 2018, they have been the Principal Maintainer of Luos, a role they continue to hold. Additionally, in March 2023, they became an Advisor and System Architect at Nimbl'Bot and 3DITEX, where they provide guidance in these capacities.

Nicolas Rabault obtained their degree in Engineering with a specialization in real-time and embedded systems from Ingésup, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they attended IUT Ville d'Avray and obtained a DUT in GEII (electrical engineering and industrial computing). In terms of additional certifications, Nicolas became a Luos Certified Associate - Level 1 in June 2021 through Luos, and they completed the Startup School Online program offered by Y Combinator in June 2017.
