Kimberly Carmony has a diverse work experience in the scientific and medical writing field. Kimberly is currently working as an Associate Scientific Director at Lumanity since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Scientific Director at Cello Health from October 2021 to March 2022. Kimberly also served as a Senior Medical Writer at Cello Health from July 2019 to October 2021 and at MedErgy from July 2019 to October 2021. Additionally, they had a role as a Medical Project Manager at MedErgy from January 2019 to July 2019 and as a Medical Writer at MedErgy from January 2017 to December 2018. Before entering the medical writing field, they gained research experience at the University of Kentucky, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Scientific Editor (Intern) from June 2016 to December 2016. Kimberly also held various roles as a Ph.D. Candidate/Research Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Molecular Biology Laboratory Technician during their time at the university. Kimberly initially started their research career at the University of Kentucky as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from January 2008 to May 2008.

Kimberly Carmony earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Kimberly later pursued further education and obtained their Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same university, completing their studies from 2009 to 2016.
