Tyler Smith has a diverse work experience. Tyler started their career in 2013 as an Assistant Equipment Manager and Clubhouse Manager for the Louisville Bats Baseball Club. Tyler then became a Visiting Clubhouse Manager before transitioning to the role of Stadium Operations Assistant for the Frederick Keys in 2020. In 2021, they returned to the Louisville Bats as a Stadium Operations Manager and later moved into the position of Director of Stadium Operations. Alongside their baseball career, Tyler also served as a Combat Medic in the Kentucky Army National Guard from 2013 to 2019 and worked as an EMT for Rural/Metro Corporation from 2016 to 2017.

Tyler Smith attended the University of Louisville from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sport Administration.
